📘 How to use your Xbox account
Follow these steps to sign in to your new account and download all your games.
Sign in on your Xbox
- Turn on the console and press the Xbox button on the controller.
- Go to Profile & system → Add or switch → Add new.
- Enter the email and password of the account we gave you (you can see them in My orders → View my account details).
Make it your home Xbox
- Settings → General → Personalization → My home Xbox → Make this my home Xbox.
- That way you can play offline and the other profiles on your console can use the games too.
Download your games
- Go to My games & apps → Full library → All owned games.
- Pick each game and tap Install. Xbox 360 games are in the same list.
Protect your account
- Go to account.microsoft.com with the account and change the password to your own.
- Add your own recovery email or phone and turn on two-step verification.
- Then go back to My orders and tap "I'm in my account": we delete the password from our systems.
⚠ What not to do
- Don't change the account's country or region: some games could stop working.
- Don't share the account or the password with other people.
- Don't set it as home Xbox on many consoles at once.
- Don't ask Microsoft for game refunds: the account could get locked.
